I am The Giant Puffin. I have been a Councillor since late February, and have helped Community Justice towards its goals through suggestions and general editing around the project. I also created {{Community Justice member}}. I have been a member of Wikipedia for a few months, and have enough knowledge to help CJ work further towards its goals, and help it play a substancial role in both improving and spreading civility throughout Wikipedia the community. I have some proposals that I would like to see applied to CJ as a councillor or possibly Cheif Executive.
If I were elected, I would:
- Encourage further and more extensive usage of
{{agf}}, {{agf2}}, {{calm talk}} and other such templates to promote civilty wherever they are used.
- Like to see Community Justice work with other organisations like Esperanza to promote civility in a community scale (i.e through members' usage of templates and promotion of the group). However, when I mention "working closely", I do not want a merger as CJ, although similar, ultimately has different aims to Esperanza and other such groups.
- Suggest that the Council hold votes on not only issues regarding civiliy, but issues that may involve CJ itself - such as the wording/usage of templates and other such business
As the number and loyalty of our members grows, the promotion of both the group and our aims will lead to a better community: A community where Community Justice has enough influence to help stop incivil acts such as personal attacks and vandalism. A community where Community Justice can help support not only its members, but Wikipedians in general. A community where Community Justice, and civility, is a success throughout the Wikipedia community.
