Wan Kuzri bin Wan Kamal (born 9 August 2002) is a Malaysian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for USL League Two club St. Charles FC. Born in the United States, he has been called up to represent Malaysia internationally at the youth level.[1][2][3]

Early life and education edit

Kuzri was born and raised in the United States.[4] He is a native of Carbondale, Illinois.[5] As a youth player, Kuzri joined the St. Louis Scott Gallagher Academy.[6]

Kuzri attended the University of Akron, in Ohio, where he was regarded as one of the soccer team's most important players.[7]

Career edit

Kuzri has been called up to represent Malaysia internationally at the youth level.[8][9] Kuzri has received comparisons to Croatia international Luka Modric, Malaysia international Safiq Rahim and Germany international Toni Kroos.[10]

Personal life edit

Kuzri is the younger brother of Wan Kuzain, a professional soccer player in the United States.[11][12] His older brother, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal, is a Malaysian politician.
