License tagging for Image:Windows XP FCKGW.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Windows XP FCKGW.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:09, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Spoiler warning for Paranormal Activity edit

Hello, I noticed that you added a spoiler warning for the article Paranormal Activity, and according to WP:Spoiler, there is consensus that as an encyclopedia, a spoiler warning is not necessary. I have reverted it, and wanted to let you know for the future. If you have any questions about Spoilers, you can discuss it at the talk page for WP:Spoiler. Thanks for the contribution, and sorry I had to revert it! Angryapathy (talk) 18:57, 10 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer be able to have them marked as minor by default. For more information on what a minor edit is, see WP:MINOR or feel to get in touch.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 22:09, 13 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
