  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page here: {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Speedy deletion nomination of User:RealBotBot/sandbox

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:RealBotBot/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 03:02, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, not sure if other messages came through. After a username change to a more fit name, I am still blocked and have a flag for speedy deletion under the guise of Advertisement, or non-encyclopedic entry. However, I am not advertising under any form, just documenting a tool that hundreds of people use and access. All viewpoints are neutral (if any) are neutral, documented, and subject to change the same as any other article. Furthermore, I believed that the Sandbox was an area to test the creation of an Article. I would click the 'Contest this speedy deletion' button, but the page does not display this option. I am sorry to take up your time, and grateful for your attention in the matter. Thank you. Loftzo (talk) 04:45, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I changed my username (that contained bot), and the block has stayed up. I received a speedy deletion notice due to G-11, or advertisement issues on an article I wrote. I am unsure if my other comments were saved, but I believe this is an error. The page in my Sandbox on 'BotBot' is about a tool that hundreds of people access and may need the history and documentation of. It is not promotion as there are no links to its content, adding it to a Server, or even seeing its code. It is used enough that I believe and hope it is relevant, and consists solely of documentation-based neutral viewpoints. Thank you. Loftzo (talk) 04:51, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Accept reason:

As you have changed your username, I have lifted the block. Note that the sandbox was correctly deleted. You were violating WP:COI and WP:PROMO. Please make sure you read and understand these policies because any further violation will result in an immediate reblock. Yamla (talk) 09:28, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Regarding User:RealBotBot/sandbox; I read your comments above and also here. You need to understand that Wikipedia (or Commons for that matter) are not hosting services. Your draft sandbox page contained no reliable, secondary source citations that supported notability of the project, and you yourself noted "It may not be that notable". A project you created six months ago as a practice project for you and your friends does not sound inherently notable. Please see Wikipedia:Notability. If you want a wiki-based platform on which to share information about your project, I suggest you review mw:Hosting services and find a hosting service appropriate to your project. Wikipedia is not such a place. If you have questions, let me know. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 13:29, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
