License tagging for Image:Doctor Spock.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Doctor Spock.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:08, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Hello Prototype 01, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:NCC-1701-E.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Prototype 01. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not readd the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 01:54, 17 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

update, today (15th) edit

Hi,

today I managed in maths, but still had the annoyance copying me (oh great...), I think the 'group' might have had a pleasant break from us, but I don't want them feeling too elated! Something very unfortunate happened with lesley... but, however I don't think I should talk about it, as she is not in the best of moods about it... I had to say the words 'he's off for religious reasons' more than a score!

I was pretty bored without you to talk to, and Bethanie shouted to me at break (whilst i was temporarily standing on my own) that I have no friends, and I wanted to kill her for that, because indeed, you are a good mate!

Kirsty was slightly disappointed about not being able to beat you to the line (lol)

Miss Taladia (???) has left today, Miss Mellor from Monday. Mr Kelly is leaving next wednesday, and the girls (emma, sophie etc) want to plan something for that day, not sure whether that is in Tutor or a Maths lsson of that week.

another thing: indeed, you must get msn!!! (lol)

Seems about it from me

until next time

Duplicate images uploaded edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Fx-85 ES.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Fx-85 ES.JPG. The copy called Image:Fx-85 ES.JPG has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 16:30, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image: StargateGlyph14.svg edit

I had a look at Image:StargateGlyph14.svg but I can't see the problem you're reporting, it looks just like all the other glyph images to me. Bryan Derksen 23:48, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I also use Firefox. Here's how it looks to me: File:2cf8a.tmp.png. I think this is something that's beyond my ability to troubleshoot, you might want to try posting a tech support question somewhere instead. I don't know what forum is best for that. Bryan Derksen 15:08, 9 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:2cf89.tmp.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:2cf89.tmp.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 13:27, 9 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

RE: The Prince and Me edit

But I point you to WP:PLOT. Wikipedia is NOT the Internet Movie Database, nor a High School Film Studies class. The article as it stood was a breathless, incoherent, and over-descriptive film reading, an essay, which is something Wikipedia forbids too. Wikipedia is not supposed to be the place of first contact for information. The article as it currently stands tells a reader the actors, a brief outline of the plot, and links to outside pages where they can find out more. "Plot" does not mean "Total and complete description of each scene". doktorb wordsdeeds 17:50, 31 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Samsung SGH-E370. Since you had some involvement with the Samsung SGH-E370 redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). Keφr (talk) 12:51, 29 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
