Politics edit

Hello! After looking at your userpage, I must say that I find some of your political positions very interesting, especially what you call the "Fourth Alternative Theory". We may certainly disagree on the issue of Marxism–Leninism–Maoism, but we also obviously have some things in common. —Sundostund (talk) 07:30, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Sundostund. Thanks for looking my userpage.
Well, my political position was heavily influenced by some figures, for examples: Muammar Gaddafi, Hugo Chavez, and other democratic socialists. And yes, after I looked to your page, we have some same stances, especially on colonialism.
Also may I ask? I've seen that you follow political syncretism. Are you a nationalist? Because it's stated on your infobox that you're a cultural liberal. It's seems interesting too, even we have difference stance on democracy and the economic view. Swing Twilight (talk) 10:42, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hello! Yes, we do have same stances on the issues of colonialism, anti-racism and isolationism, and some others as well. I can't say that some particular figure (or figures) influenced my world view; most of it is just the result of how I see the world and the issues it faces.
I do consider myself to be a political syncretist, in the way that I never appreciated the traditional division of politics on the left–right spectrum, and ideological fanaticism that usually follows it. As I see things, the ideal system would be some kind of merger of several various ideologies; of course, its hard/impossible to achieve anything ideal in this world.
I can't say that I am a nationalist, having in mind all the chaos that various nationalisms caused in the region where I live, back in the 1990s (with the consequences very much present to this day). As for democracy, I am just suspicious and distrustful towards it; a mistake is still a mistake, regardless of how many people support that mistake. I do see myself as a cultural liberal, in the way that I don't support constraints on the development of the society – political or religious, various forms of censorships, and such. If something is banned in the society, then there must be several very good reasons for that. —Sundostund (talk) 11:14, 5 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
