Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

  • Respect copyrights - do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
  • Maintain a neutral point of view - this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced to multiple reliable sources.
  • No Sockpuppetry.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, doing so will result your account or IP being blocked from editing.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! December 2009

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because your username suggests that this is a role account editing on behalf of the English Democrats, and such usernames are not allowed.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you. Fences&Windows 22:44, 6 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Two more points. If you are connected with the English Democrats, please read WP:COI, which gives the policy on editing articles on topics you are associated with, and WP:NPOV, which guides us on how to edit without pushing a certain point of view. You are also marking your edits as minor when they are not - please ensure that you don't misrepresent your edits like this. Fences&Windows 22:48, 6 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Alliance for Democracy ( UK )

edit

The article Alliance for Democracy ( UK ) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I can't find any press coverage of this organisation.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Fences&Windows 04:46, 8 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Alliance for Democracy ( UK )

I have nominated Alliance for Democracy ( UK ), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alliance for Democracy ( UK ). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Fences&Windows 22:21, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Colchester (UK Parliament constituency)

Hi Quercus, do you have a source at all for Eddie Bone we can use? Cheers - Galloglass 17:11, 22 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for sending me the email with the link Quercus. Unfortunately Facebook is not considered an adequete reference by Wikipedia. Is there a National English Democrats website that lists candidates we can reference on? Even a local party website or an announcement on a local papers would be sufficient. Cheers - Galloglass 18:02, 24 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Also due to wikipedia's neutral point of view all candidates are listed in the order they appear on a ballot paper, that is to say, by surname order. Thanks once again. - Galloglass 23:03, 22 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
