Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Because Wikipedia does not allow any form of spam or other promotion of people, products, companies or other groups (even non-commercial or charitable ones). Wikipedia's use for such purposes will result in the blocking of the account involved. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest for our rules about this.

In addition, user accounts are for individuals only, not for companies or groups or other collective editing. Your username should reflect this. Usernames that appear to be promotional (such as those that make reference to a company or product) violate our username policy and are typically blocked to enforce that policy.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will probably not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this message box.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Tell us what new username you want to use. Please make sure that your new username does not violate our username policy and check that it has not already been taken (click here to search).
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If instead you believe that you have been blocked by mistake (i.e., you have not in fact been using Wikipedia for promotional purposes), please write {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this message box and replace the text "Your reason here" with the reason why. See also Wikipedia:Appealing a block for more information.

{{unblock|I would like the Asia Art Archive to be unblocked. The username i will use from now on will be soipaideemadee. I am college student majoring in studio arts and art history, my intention for writing the asia art archive page was not for promotional purposed. it was be cause of my interest and curiosity in the art field, i felt i should give some in put in wikipedia by writing articles about art organizations and the asian contemporary art scene which i am very interested in. I understand the reason for my block. i understand that wikipedia is not an advertisement agency but a source for information. as a user i will try not to be biased in my article and sound promotional, and i will not self advertise. i hope to contribute more to wikipedia in article concerning the asian contemporary art scene which i feel is lacking at the moment on wikipedia.}}

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Allowing user name change to soipaideemadee (talk · contribs); please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username. One thing that will help in keeping your articles in neutral tone is to "research, then write" - look up reliable sources, and write only from them. Don't copy or paraphrase things like an organization's website which is what I think you did before - they don't have the right tone or structure and there's also a copyright issue.

Speedy deletion nomination of Asia Art Archive

edit

A tag has been placed on Asia Art Archive, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
