Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Recife02_020311.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use media which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 16:47, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Amachado! Welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for all your contributions. About all that images you had uploaded, are you quite sure we 1can really use them? Are you sure about their copyright status?

Oi, Amachado! Bem vindo à Wikipédia. Obrigado por todas as suas contribuições. Sobre todas essas imagens que você carregou, você tem certeza que a gente pode usa-las? Você está certo sobre as informações de copyright delas?

It's all good. Thanks! Obrigada.

some of the images you had uploaded come from the site http://www.guiapernambuco.com.br. This site states: É proibida a reprodução total ou parcial do conteúdo deste site sem a devida autorização (Total or partial reproduction of this site's content is forbiden, unless otherwise authorized). I'm not sure, but I'm afraid we can't use these images on Wikipedia. It's a pitty, since those are really good pictures of a really beautifull place.
Can you try contact the site owners to ask them about the necessary authorization? The should agree to release theirs images in a GFDL compatible license. Note that this means that it's not enough that they simply authorize the images to be used solely by Wikipedia.
Contact me (in my talk page if you have any doubts. Thanks, --Abu Badali 15:12, 18 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
Obrigado, --Abu Badali 15:12, 18 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Ok. Vou verificar. I will check it out. Thanks I just wrote to Guia Pernambudo. I will see what they say. If this is a problem I will just remove everything. I really don't have much free time to be soliciting authorization from people. The images I placed were all images that promote their authors and their best interest. Amachado

Tudo bem, obrigado. Thank you. I also agree that it's on the authors best interest for that images to be here, but sometimes people fail to understand their best interests :( Let's just hope this won't be the case. Thanks for being so responsive. Thanks for you participation on this community. --Abu Badali 11:30, 23 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Xuxa Images

edit

About the Xuxa's images (Image:Xuxa.jpg and Image:Xuxa_pele.jpg), are you quite sure they are promotinal images? The first one seems like a screen capture, while the second one looks like a magazine scan. The site [1] doesn't seem a reliable source of original works. Thanks, again. --Abu Badali 20:06, 23 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

How can I remove my account?

edit

I really don't have time for this. How can I cancel the whole deal and delete all my contributions? Thanks. don't really worry about that. I may ask for the deletion of that images. But don't leave Wikipedia. We wellcome every contribution. Even if you don't have much time to that.

You may, if you wish, put a message on your user page stating that you're a little busy. Regards, --Abu Badali 13:27, 25 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:Xuxa pele.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Abu Badali 17:18, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
