Trudy Krisher

Trudy Krisher (born 1946) is an American author of young adult novels, children's books, a college textbook, and a scholarly biography. She is a former professor of liberal arts in Dayton, Ohio.

Early life and education edit

Krisher was born in Macon, Georgia.^[1] Her parents were Whitley Herron Butner and Lois Drane Butner.^[1] She graduated from The College of William and Mary in 1968 and received a master's in education from Trenton State College in 1972.^[1]^[2]

Krisher has written young adult novels, children’s picture books, a college textbook, and a scholarly biography.^[2]

From 2001 until her retirement Krisher was a professor in the Department of Liberal Arts, Communication, and Social Sciences at Sinclair Community College.^[1]^[2] She was an assistant professor at University of Dayton from 1985 to 2001.^[1]

'Spite Fences'(1994)'Kinship (1997),^[3] Uncommon Faith (2003), Fallout (2006),^[4] and Bark Park (2018)^[5] were reviewed by Kirkus. 'Spite Fences' was reviewed by Publishers Weekly and School Library Journal. 'Uncommon Faith was reviewed by Publishers Weekly.^[6]

Krisher has three children.^[1] She is a Unitarian and a Democrat.^[1] She lives in Columbus, Ohio.^[1]
