Trudy Krisher (born 1946) is an American author of young adult novels, children's books, a college textbook, and a scholarly biography. She is a former professor of liberal arts in Dayton, Ohio.

Early life and education edit

Krisher was born in Macon, Georgia.[1] Her parents were Whitley Herron Butner and Lois Drane Butner.[1] She graduated from The College of William and Mary in 1968 and received a master's in education from Trenton State College in 1972.[1][2]

Krisher has written young adult novels, children’s picture books, a college textbook, and a scholarly biography.[2]

From 2001 until her retirement Krisher was a professor in the Department of Liberal Arts, Communication, and Social Sciences at Sinclair Community College.[1][2] She was an assistant professor at University of Dayton from 1985 to 2001.[1]

'Spite Fences'(1994)'Kinship (1997),[3] Uncommon Faith (2003), Fallout (2006),[4] and Bark Park (2018)[5] were reviewed by Kirkus. 'Spite Fences' was reviewed by Publishers Weekly and School Library Journal. 'Uncommon Faith was reviewed by Publishers Weekly.[6]

Krisher has three children.[1] She is a Unitarian and a Democrat.[1] She lives in Columbus, Ohio.[1]
