thought I did this last night but can't see it anywhere, so here goes.

Background in journalism, writing, publishing, consultancy; I live in Essex and used to have tow dogs, now deceased several years but keep my hand in the canine world by looking after friends' dogs.

Have lived in Australia, France, Turkey, Wales and England. [do I have to delete or keep in the ===about you===]

Like keeping the brain well-exercised by learning new software.

can't wait to get properly started with Wiki and do appreciate having a Wiki adopter

A bit about me

I live in Essex, England as you probably saw on my user page. Finding Wiki a bit of a minefield to start with but getting used to it. I'm married, with stepson and two step grandchildren. Used to have two dogs; now in canine heaven; spend a lot of time looking after other people's dogs when they go to work, on holidays, out for the day etc etc. budapest1379 15:23, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

I've checked my 'edit' and comments; one edit seems to be in Tommy Steele [and I have reload page on my machine to update it] but there's a message some has been deleted and ref WP:Talk - but I can;t see why or how to contact editor?

Still having trouble with the signing my user name [Georgie sydney] and the signature [which seems to work when I clock on the signature icon at the top of this box alongside editing text commands etc] but I can't figure by budapest1379 comes out twice?

DO I have to work on stubs and or articles first then go to referenced sites and put my input there so I can do internal wiki links then 'publish' both areas at the same time?

how do I put my adoption page on my watchlist.... teh watchlst at top of page does not seem to be in this page?

That's strange as the (watch) tab appears at the top of the page as usual for me?

I would suggest having a look at Special:NewPages here there is a great opportunity to improve articles that have just been written by perhaps new editors and to see articles that have been written by experienced editors. You can also tag with a Speedy Delete tag those obvious cases of articles that should not remain such as pure vandalism.--Paste _{Let’s have a chat.} 11:32, 14 September 2009 (UTC)

Can you also look at my sandbox/PEEH - I have to re-do some of the citations which haven't come out in footnotes but otherwise subject to your approval it's nearly ready to go into mainspace. thansk

Article Ready to go mainspace

Please take a look at my sandbox and move article on peter evans to mainspace if you agree it can go up. AM sorting images; hopefully they will be in wikicommons by end of weekGeorgie sydney 14:36, 5 October 2009 (UTC).

Recheck and move plus image questions

I have made a few slight changes re citations and wording; is it ready to go to mainspace - think I have got around the citation needed tags; and is it there that we add images? I would like to put in a second image in the Peter Evans Eating Houses logo - the fork - is this okay as the chain is no longer around so it can't be seen as an advert!> thanks

Editing

I have just noticed that you are marking all your edits as minor when it is obvious that many are not, can you check and see if the 'This is a minor edit' box is ticked? It's just below the editing area, under the edit summary, if it is ticked then please untick it and only use this box for genuine minor edits.
