I am currently employed by the Library of Congress as part of the Digital Conversion Team, and my professional life revolves around the digital preservation of treasured books, manuscripts, photographs, and other artifacts. But as one might expect from someone who works in the greatest library in the world, my personal interests range across the cultural spectrum inhabited by books and media. I have a Masters in English, so my specialty is in English literature. I also have an interest in film; my best friend is actually a professor of film and literary theory at a small mid-western college, and current films are a primary topic of our conversation.

I also have a bit of a taste for the "fast food" of culture: Reality TV, the paranormal, "mysteries" such as the disappearance of Amelia Earhart, and social networking. Given my eclectic interests, I expect that any edits I make to Wikipedia probably won't reflect any great level of erudition about any particular subject. Still, I appreciate the beauty of a community project such as this encyclopedia, and I hope to become a valuable participant in the experiment.
