Windhoek Vocational Training Center
editWindhoek Vocational Training Center in the capital of Namibia in Khomasdal Rooivalk Street 11 is a vocational education and training system that gives a potencial trainee the correct structure for success in career developemant. The center is also commited to vocational training which will give Namibians adequate skills that will in turn strengthen socio-economic developement and self employment. Windhoek vocational Training Center offers coarses such as mechanics,boiler making,welding,airconditioning and many more.
One of the main priorities of (WVTC) is to encourage students to stimulate the developement of Namibia. The center is motivated when Namibian youth take part in the developement of Namibia. The center is recognised for their assistance with regaurd to students that have ambition to be self employed.
Recent WVTC News
editOn th e 1st of October 2012 the students of (WVTC) went on strike and demonstrated infront of the centers gate. They also did not let any of the employees in to do their work and had chains locking the gates untill they got assistance with their problem concernig their loan money on the 3rd of October 2012 by the ministry of education of Namibia.
The students also attacked two Polytechnic students after they had been doing an assignment with the caretakers son who is also a Polytechnic student at the caretakers residense on (WVTC) grounds.The students also hurt the caretakers wife in the process. The students claim that they were trying to stop the Polytechnic students from apparently stealing documents and smuggling marijuana which was later proven to be a false accusations.The police was informed of the situation and the police let the Polytchnic students go home. The police further assisted the caretakers two sons and wife by opening the gate and letting them walk inside instead of having to jump the gate.
