Karina Pasian, alternately known simply by her first name of Karina, is an R&B artist signed to Def Jam. Her debut album, "First Love," is due to be released in the U.S. on June 3, 2008. The first single from the album, "16 at War," is available for airplay now in the U.S. and worldwide.

Early life edit

Karina was born to Dominican parents in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City in 1992 [1].

Career edit

The beginnings of Karina's career can be attributed to her friendship with Quincy Jones and her winning performance on the U.S. television show, Star Search, in 2003[2].


In June 2007, Karina performed at the White House for President George W. Bush, becoming the first person of Dominican ancestry to do so. Her first single, "16 at War," is already getting airplay at several formats, including Urban, Rhythmic, and Urban AC.
