Writing Career edit

His first successful book was a wildfire fighting handbook (“Manual de Lucha contra Incendios Forestales”[1]). Distributed in 2018 by Amazon, it became a best seller in Spanish several times.

In 2023 he published “Grandes Liadas de la Historia”[2][3][4] (“Great Mess-ups in History”), a humorous and sarcastic book about various historical disasters, released by Caligrama[5].

It is a book about anecdotes, written in a lighthearted and slightly roguish tone. It recounts events that unfolded in unexpected ways, representing a notable failure for some of those involved, with a special focus on battles. In a humorous tone, it covers events from classical antiquity to World War I. The book also includes a small glossary of terms that may require explanation, although they are described in a tone similar to that of the rest of the book.

After three successful editions, the book was re-edited and republished by Singularidad [6]in 2024, earning widespread praise:

A captivating book that imparts knowledge without getting bogged down in dates, places, and historical figures. It offers an engaging learning experience that will keep you hooked. Highly recommended for history enthusiasts and those who may not be particularly fond of the subject but recognize the value of understanding the past.”[7]

"This gem of historical popularization also features a concise glossary of terms that may require clarification, all presented in a style consistent with the rest of the book."[8]

Also in 2024, he released a recompilation of female warfare episodes named “Grandes Guerreras de la Historia” (“Great Female Warriors in History”)[9], with the same acid and humoristic style.

The book is an irreverent romp through the lives of some of the most extraordinary women who have ever wielded a weapon. From the legendary Night Witches of World War II to the fearless Boudica of ancient Britain, these women defied expectations and carved their names into history with their bravery, skill, and unwavering determination. It is not just a book about war: it's a celebration of courage, resilience, and the indomitable spirit of women who dared to challenge the status quo and fight for what they believed in. With its engaging narrative, vivid imagery, and irreverent humour, this book has captivated readers of all ages, and it has been garnering critical acclaim since its release.

"This book is an eye-opener that unveils the stories of extraordinary women who have been largely overlooked in history. The author's engaging narrative and witty humour make it an unforgettable read. It's a must-read for anyone interested in learning more about the hidden figures who have shaped our world.[10]"

Effortless and enjoyable learning through an engaging and humorous approach to historical events.”[11]
