How is it different from 1 or 2?

Renaming

edit

I'm proposing renaming this template as part of a broader move to rename some hatnote templates for clarity. Please participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Hatnotes#Template renaming for clarity. Thanks, {{Nihiltres |talk |edits}} 22:20, 16 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Reverse order

edit

Is there a hatnote template that performs the same function as this one, but gives the link in reverse order (or a way to make this template do that)? For example, Alice (novel series) has {{Redirect-distinguish-for|Alice in Blunderland|Clara in Blunderland|the 1907 novel by John Kendrick Bangs|Alice in Blunderland: An Iridescent Dream}}, producing:

"Alice in Blunderland" redirects here. It is not to be confused with Clara in Blunderland. For the 1907 novel by John Kendrick Bangs, see Alice in Blunderland: An Iridescent Dream.

How would one go about getting something like

"Alice in Blunderland" redirects here. For the 1907 novel by John Kendrick Bangs, see Alice in Blunderland: An Iridescent Dream. It is not to be confused with Clara in Blunderland.

(listing the more proximate name first)? – Arms & Hearts (talk) 17:01, 22 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Not prefixing "Not" with "It is"

edit

This is done on Template:Redirect-distinguish for a good reason, so can we do it here? Faster than Thunder (talk) 02:01, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Redirects-here check not working

edit

Nihiltres, see current version of Amethystine python. I lost track of what I was doing and added this template by mistake. It had a {{redirect}} template which properly noticed that scrub python does NOT redirect here (it's a dab). But this template doesn't. MB 20:15, 6 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

This template isn't based on Lua, so it doesn't contain the redirects-here check. I suppose I'll have to convert it to Lua… {{Nihiltres |talk |edits}} 20:27, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Nihiltres, I fixed the above article since you obviously don't need it for debugging. When you make this conversion, I'll probably see the results in the tracking cat. Thanks. MB 20:55, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
