list of kākāpō has 93 surviving females and 111 surviving males, for a total of 204 living kākāpō. Are we wrong or is the cited source wrong, and where did the discrepancy arise? Answering these questions will be a personal to-do, but I know others have spent considerable energy on this already and may be able to find the solution more quickly. Formatting

The current format of this template makes it awkward to use in articles. I propose changing it to:
