Change to template to suppress weight column for sex=w

edit

I've created two replacement templates for

so that if the parameter sex= is set to w, not only will it change the title as it does now, but also that it will suppress the weight column.

I created the replacements in sandboxes, then announced the plan to Wikiprojct Basketball.

User of the templates for men need make no changes. The default is as it was before.

User of the templates for men need make no changes for the header template, as it had the sex parameter before. However, the Player template now requires a sex parameter is you want to use it for women.

I will make the change, and update all articles that use the template for women. I Manually searched what links here and added one of two cats to the article:

Question about legend

edit

The template has a legend for

  • (C) Team captain
  • (S) Suspended
  • (I) Ineligible
  • (W) Walk-on

Are we supposed to use |note= for these, or something else? Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 17:02, 25 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please copy the sandbox edits to the main template. The style="background: transparent" needs to be removed from the table for dark-mode compatibility. (See mw:Reading/Web/Accessibility for reading/Reporting/en.wikipedia.org#CBB roster dark mode error.) FeRDNYC (talk) 17:45, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
