Talk:Treatment of knocked-out (avulsed) teeth

Upon closer inspection of this article, it looks like my proposed deletion notice was in haste; there doesn't appear to be much, if any, uncited original research. This article definitely looks like it should be kept in some form, so my apologies! Just a heads up, don't have time to find the references right now, but primary (baby) teeth should not be replanted as they can have adverse effects on secondary tooth eruption. Also one of our periodontal lecturers indicated that blood may be an appropriate alternative storage medium (eg if you are stuck in the desert and dont happen to have a HBBS or milk on hand - and there is blood already coming out of the socket). In regards to mouthguards - many types have been shown to be ineffective (eg preformed, heat and mould) and mouthguards custom made by dentists/dental techs using heat+vacuum formation on dental casts are more effective.
