The link at the bottom of the page that says it's to a link of royalty-free music production companies actually links to a list of all sorts of music production companies, most of which have nothing to do with royalty-free music, and which leaves out many major royalty-free libraries, such as Productiontrax.com. I wonder if there's a better list around to link to? ----Ben

This has since evolved into an edit war. Folks, please don't edit war. Please discuss. --Nlu (talk) 11:13, 29 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

There were 2 listings that I've just removed. One, a yahoo link that has been changed back and forth from a yahoo search result to a yahoo directory listing, and a google search result. Search results aren't appropriate for external links, and the yahoo directory wasn't just royalty-free. I've removed both, leaving the dmoz. --AbsolutDan (talk) 14:27, 24 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

The non-dmoz external links and all the "references" were all self-serving links to sites selling royalty-free music. As such, they violate WP:LINKSPAM and should not be tolerated. I removed all of them today. We need references to academic and trade journals, newspapers, and other scholarly or disinterested resources. Any links to sites run by music vendors, even if they have "informational" pages therein, are crap and should be aggressively removed. —mjb (talk) 20:59, 7 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
