GA Reassessment edit

I'm starting an individual reassessment of the GA status of this article. The article was originally listed in December 2005. Since then GA criteria have changed substantially. Here's how the article currently rates:

1. Well written?: The article is deficient. There are several MoS issues:
  • For example the lead contains details which aren't in the body of the article (An especially notable example of this is that of Friends who actively identify as a members of a faith other than Christian, such as Islam or Buddhism.). Please see WP:LEAD for details on how to construct a good lead.
  • The article's structure is cluncky in spots. For example, it contains several stubby sections and one-sentence paragraphs.
  • The section "Quaker terminology" should be reformatted or spun off so it's not an embedded list.
  • The article could use a good copyediting and the prose needs refreshing in places.
2. Factually accurate?: The article is under-referenced. I found several {{fact}} tags in the article. I've added some more.
3. Broad in coverage?: I see no significant problems
4. Neutral point of view?: No problems
5. Article stability? No problems
6. Images?: No problems

You can help out. Please address these concerns so that the article can meet GA standards. If not we'll need to de-list it. Cheers, Majoreditor (talk) 15:58, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
