  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose quality:
Don't you mean electrical? four electricity generators and this is awkward: Mediterranean Fleet for the duration of their careers, including for the duration of World War I
    Fixed. Parsecboy (talk) 20:15, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
    B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:
Need state of publication for Ropp
    Added. Parsecboy (talk) 20:15, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
  2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. References to sources:
    B. Citation of reliable sources where necessary:
    C. No original research:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
Link beam, displacement, mainmast, funnel, generator, Mediterranean Fleet. List the 3-pounders in the infobox. Note the changes I've made to the infobox.
Should all be addressed. Parsecboy (talk) 20:15, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
    B. Focused:
Poke around some more, both of these ships were deployed to Greece during WW I, both at Salonica and Athens at various times.
As far as I'm aware, only the Libertes were sent to Greece - there may be some confusion owing to the fact that they're sometimes lumped into the same class. Parsecboy (talk) 20:15, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Scratch that, Patrie shot down a zeppelin off Salonika in 1916 - I still haven't seen anything about Republique doing anything in Greece. Parsecboy (talk) 20:19, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Be careful with that and check thoroughly as one of the Lord Nelson's shot down a Zeppelin, IIRC, and that sounds like a bit too much of a coincidence for there to be two separate incidents. The French kept a small squadron of pre-dreadnoughts in Athens and/or Salonica to insure Greek cooperation from about 1916 on. See if you can find any details on that in those few books detailing the political situation in Greece during WW I. There are some reasonably detailed articles in Wiki on that thing that might provide some leads for you to follow up.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 21:18, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
  1. The zeppelin claim is from a contemporary source, but in all likelihood represents contended credit between the two ships for shooting the zeppelin down. As for the rest, I haven't been able to find anything of any substance on the French squadron in Greece - a few mentions of the French fleet, but not even identifying which squadron/division, let alone what ships. Do you have a date on the shootdown? Agamemnon claimed hers on 5 May 1917 at Salonica. I have some additional info on their deployments from one of my French-language sources that I'll add to meet the reasonably complete criteria. BTW, it doesn't mention the shootdown at all and I'm always suspicious of contemporary sources, so I'm not sure how much weight I'd place on that source. Once this passes be sure to update the individual ship articles with the changes made here.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 17:14, 17 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
The source says 5 May 1916, which is probably a typo - highly unlikely to have been on the same date two years in a row. I'll keep an eye on what you add here, thanks. Parsecboy (talk) 17:17, 17 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Added my info; take a look at it and see if the text needs any cleanup or not. Lemme know whenever it meets your expectations and I'll take a final look at it.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 18:56, 17 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Mostly looks good to me, I made a couple of changes to the lead, but that's it. The Gille info is now in the ship articles as well. Parsecboy (talk) 13:19, 18 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
