Florida photo isn't in geographic range described by article

Article needs a better "main photo" under the "Eastern Ratsnake" heading. This photo, shows a rat snake in the middle of it's shedding phase. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jthatt~enwiki (talk • contribs) 10:34, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

The article describes the geographic range South to Georgia, although one of the photos purportedly shows a subspecies in Florida. If that's the case, the description of the range should mention that subspecies extend to Florida, etc.

I added content based on my notes above. My understanding is that Pantherophis alleghaniensis was formerly a complex of E. obsoleta subspecies: obsoleta, quadreivittata, rossaleni, dekerti, (& williamsi, which seems to have been an intergrade between E. o. quadreivtittata & E. o. spilodes, which is now included in P. spiloides). Clarification needed

Does "(Illinois at 378N, Kansas at 388,Maryland at 398)" refer to latitude in tenths of degrees? If so, it should be stated in some more standard manner, e.g. "Illinois at 37.8 degrees North" etc. 24.170.225.138 (talk) 16:50, 13 September 2022 (UTC)

Title is in italics

So I just moved this page to eastern rat snake from a scientific name in italics. Unfortunately it remained in italics when I did so. I can't figure out how to "deitalicize" the title, which seems like a very silly problem to have. Someone else who knows how should move it to the deitalicized version.
