Background and release edit

  • Unsourced: On February 7, 2012, YG Entertainment announced that Big Bang would be making a comeback with their fifth Korean-language mini album, titled Alive on February 29.
Sourced to ref 2 (Just a note: please check the next reference cited after the sentence to see whether the information is supported, as sometimes multiple sentences are sourced to the same ref).
  • Why mini album is used in this section when extended play is used in the lede?
As both of them are synonymous in the Kpop industry and to vary wording.
  • Remove wikilink from Korean per MOS:OVERLINK
  • Why YG is used intead of the complete name?
Referring to the company as simply YG is common so writing out the entire name every time it's mentioned is unnecessary in my view.
I would suggest to use complete name or a pronoun (wherever possible) because just using YG may arise questions to some readers. -ink&fables «talk» 14:08, 2 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
When referring to Yang Hyun-suk himself, I usually would write "Yang" rather than "YG", and other articles do that to. I don't see much of a need to write YG Entertainment every time.
  • See if Alive Galaxy Tour is the tour being mentioned here. If yes, then please unlink concert tour per MOS:LINKCLARITY and restructure the sentence linking to Alive Galaxy Tour.
  • Unsourced: it was unveiled that the song would consist of a emotional concept, a change of style from some of their prior releases,
I added an additional source for the emotional bit
  • Unsourced: The song was subsequently released as planned by YG Entertainment and marked Big Bang's first single in almost a year, since "Love Song" in April 2011.
  • Unlink YG Entertainment here, instead link it in the first line of this section.
  • Better source needed: It was made available worldwide on multiple platforms for digital download and streaming. Current source is only a profile of the song from Melon and doesn't prove worldwide release on multiple platforms.
Added Apple Music source
  • This statement requires copy-edit: A Japanese-language version of the track was recorded and included as part of the groups fourth Japanese studio album Alive, which was released on March 28, 2012.
General note: if you have a suggestion for improving a sentence, you can provide it
  • In the last line: correct the typo in Big Band's

Composition edit

  • long-time group collaborator → group's long-time collaborator
  • Better source needed: The current source doesn't verify Teddy being group's long-time collaborator and that additional rap lyrics were written by T.O.P.
Removed
  • Credit The Korea Herald's reporter/staff (for example, Yim Hyun-su of The Korea Herald characterized...) OR can be written as: The Korea Herald article characterized...
  • “crispy → "crispy (see inverted comma)
  • Suggestion: join these two sentences: Deemed as a stylistic shift from much of the group's previous releases, Big Bang embraces a more emotional side of the them seldom exposed to the public. Highlighting their mature vocals, the song attracted attention among fans and journalists for its ability in showcasing a side of Big Bang that is not often presented through their music. Example: Deemed as a stylistic shift from much of the group's previous releases, Big Bang embraces a more emotional side of the them highlighting their mature vocals.

  • Unsourced: and remains standing as one of the best-selling singles in the country. Because I think sales can be combined from different sources, but per WP:SYNTHESIS we can't reach to a conclusion like "one of the best-selling singles in the country".

  • Why digital is in brackets next to South Korea? I read some Featured Articles; I saw that generally the Chart or recording industry's name is put in the brackets.
  • Wikilink KuGou
