RedMon, Redirection Port Monitor, redirects a special printer port to a program on Microsoft Windows operating systems. It is commonly used with Ghostscript to generate PostScript (PS) and Portable Document Format (PDF) files from any application.

By selecting it during printing you do not physically obtain a printout but a file in PDF/PS format[1] that can be saved like any other file in the folder you choose. The file is of better quality than the one obtainable, for example, with PDFCreator.[2]
