Mahasweta Ray

Mahasweta Ray (also spelled "Mahashweta Roy", born 2 July 1962) is an Indian actress who works predominantly in Odia films. She has won awards for her performances in many movies.[1] She is actively associated with the Oriya film industry, doing some character roles and some tele-serials.[2][3][4]

Early lifeEdit

Ray was born in Puri, Odisha. She studied at SCS College.

CareerEdit

Ray's first movie was "Sesa Shrabana" with Prashanta Nanda and Hemanta Das. She has been a leading actress in Odia film industry as well as in the Bengali film industry. She also did a Telugu movie. Ray has often been critically acclaimed as one of the best Odia actresses so far.
