Journal of Mormon History is a quarterly academic journal in the field of Mormon studies published by the Mormon History Association (MHA).[3][2] Before the journal was started in 1974, MHA had published articles through Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought, as both were founded in part by Leonard J. Arrington.[4] The journal has published articles discussing controversial topics and ones that question common interpretations of history by the largest Mormon denomination, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church).[5]
