List of governors of Eastern Province

The governor of the Eastern Province, Sri Lanka (Sinhala: නැගෙනහිර පළාත් ආණ්ඩුකාරවරයා Nægenahira palāth āndukāravarayā), is the head of the provincial government and exercises executive power over subjects devolved to the Eastern Provincial Council.[1] The governor is appointed by the president of Sri Lanka for a period of five years.[1] The current governor is Jayantha Lal Ratnasekera.[2][3][4]
