Spelling Errors in map source

edit

There's a misspelling in this map from West Point of the 'Sahara Desert'; they've called it instead the 'Saraha'. If a different source map is used to replace this one as a result, a corresponding replacement map for the Pacific Theater should be found to match.

Last time I checked, the proper spelling is "Sweden" not "Sweeden" :-) --Valentinian 21:40, 24 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
  • I have corrected these errors: Sweeden->Sweden, Saraha->Sahara, Lativa->Latvia. Don't forget to "refresh". Regards, --Dna-Dennis talk - contribs 00:44, 21 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Stalingrad and Moscow

edit

Neither of these locations are on the actual map. The arrows point to where they are, but there ain't place names there. -max rspct 20:25, 26 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Inaccuracy of this map

edit

This map is very inaccurate. For example, Turkey is marked in green, indicating it was with the Allies though it was neutral throughout the war, invasion of Low Countries, Denmark and Norway occured in 1940, in the timeline it is marked as if it happened in 1939, Slovakia and Czech Republic are marked as if they were in axis, though they were controlled and occupied by Germany. Maybe Slovakia could be in the axis, as there was a pro-nazi regime, and it was an indenpendent state, but certainly not Czech Republic. (Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia) There are surely more errors, which I haven't pointed out.

I'm sure that Wikipedia should not have such an inaccurate map, but I did not wanted to remove it, as maybe someone can explain this. Regards, Morthe.
