Self-evidently this page's tag needs amending. The plaque - it is NOT an engraving - as anyone can see, commemorates William Alers HANKEY, not Hanhey. He was the natural son of Sir Thomas Hankey of Fetcham Park, and Bedford Square, London, a banker, merchant, Jamaica planter, and active supprter of the Foundling Hospital, and in fact, as late as 1802, when he was one of three executors of his late father's estate, was simply known as William Alers. 94.192.68.44 (talk) 09:20, 6 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
