Another color is needed for Southern states after they are no longer part of Confederacy. To assert they reverted to being territories of the USA after the CSA collapsed is POV in opposition to the view of the US federal govt --JimWae (talk) 21:33, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Separated Confederay edit
So let me get this straight: The Confederacy was weakened slowly on the top side in the second half of 1861, then Grant wounds it more deeply in the west's middle next year, and finally cut in half in '63! All thanks to President Grant, Confederate supplies were harder to get through on either side. That should have end the war in the first place!
