Watermark?

I have uploaded various images which I took in Wikipedia because I want to share them. As such I own the copyrights of these images, but since my intentions are to share them I posted the proper license. Some of these images have posted on them the date that they were taken by my camera on the lower right hand corner. Now, someone has "tagged: the images with a "watermark" tag. I have asked the unser who tagged them for an explanation to no avail. Therefore, can some one give me an explanation and if not, then remove the "tag". Thank you.
