Almost all the people in Portugal can speak Spanish
Completly false statement, there's a big degree of inteligibility between Portuguese and Spanish, and Portuguese speakers tend to understand a lot of Spanish (the inverse not so much), but that doesn't make them speakers. And tourists that speak Spanish as a foreign language are always advised not to use it in Portugal, as that might be considered an insult by the Portuguese people. This is a map about learners though. In recent years, highschools across Portugal started offering spanish as a class along with French and English.
