Is that really the irony here? edit
The Irony page suggests that the irony here is that the sign is defaced to say 'Stop defacing stop signs'. However the irony I picked up is the fact that it tells you to STOP, and yet it says 'No parking within 30 feet' below it, implying that one should NOT stop.
