This is an extremely bad and confusing graphic because it illustrates REM sleep as being in between wakefulness and Stage 1. While the closeness between these states is apparent in the later hours of sleep cycles, people don't read graphs back to front. Chronologically, the REM state comes last, and therefore should be represented last.
- It's also using the old R&K scoring method. Stage 4 isn't a thing anymore and hasn't been for a long time, yet I still see pictures and articles all over Wikipedia that are using the old standard. 173.3.8.212 (talk) 06:10, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
