This image should not be removed because it benefits the biography and roughly falls between two 'acceptable use' criteria of non-free images according to the criteria: it is a painting (although it isn't being used for critical commentary) and it is also an image with iconic status or historical importance.
The photograph was provided by a member of the Clackmannanshire Council Museum and Heritage Service, who also gave permission to use it on Wikipedia. I'm not sure if anyone knows who painted the photograph.Evenmadderjon (talk) 09:38, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
