The Bridge and fort are confirmed by archaeological evidence. We know a vicus also existed, but none of it has been excavated. Two altars were found in the tyne, which can be seen on the arch over the bridge.

It is not known whether the wall was connected to the fort or how far ahead of it it would be located.
