Lines linking disconnected territories

edit

It is not recognized at first sight that the straight lines (for example the one around the Baltic states) are used to link the different connected components of a country. Perhaps adding a caption about such lines, or omitting them completely could be useful.(Syats (talk) 19:34, 24 January 2011 (UTC)).Reply

Does Russia ACTUALLY recognize the State of Palestine? Crushti (talk) 00:51, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Add Chile

edit

Chile should be coloured dark green in the map, since it oficially recognised the State of Palestine today. Greece and Austria

edit

Greece and Austria DO NOT recognize State of Palestine. Please corect this.89.76.147.225 (talk) 16:01, 9 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes, the map should be corrected.
Also, we don't have sources for Suriname [3], Syria, Turkmenistan, Cameroon, Swaziland, Vanuatu. Cameroon/Swaziland/Vanuatu are supported by contradictory lists (multiple, but based on each other) that include states known not to recognize SoP and/or not including states known to recognize SoP (such as recent example of Paraguay). Suriname/Syria/Turkmenistan/Cameroon are supported by a essay by some lawyer that makes a generalizing claim "All AL/OIC members recognize SoP" that is very dubious without any such statement by the AL/OIC themselves (as organizations they recongize SoP, but this doesn't mean that each individual member recognizes it). This generalizing claim was proven wrong by the 2011 Guyana recognition [4]. Alinor (talk) 23:21, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
IMHO neither these contradictory lists (that don't give the dates of recognition) nor the generalizing AL/OIC claim can be used. We need better sources. See Talk:Foreign relations of the Palestinian National Authority. Alinor (talk) 23:22, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Haiti, Jamaica, South Korea

Any source for these 'special delegations'? Alinor (talk) 16:58, 22 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Add Paraguay

Paraguay should be coloured dark green in the map, since it oficially recognised the State of Palestine today. Source (in Spanish): http://www.abc.com.py/nota/paraguay-reconoce-a-palestina-como-estado-libre-e-independiente/

Paraguay recognizes SoP since 2005. [5], [6], [7], [8]. The recent statement is just "reiteration". The map here was just wrong. Alinor (talk) 19:31, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Other problems with this map

edit

I doesn't list the Dominican Republic and it misses some non-resident delegations (but includes others). Also, there is the issue of displaying the delegations only for states that don't recognize SoP, but not for the others. Alinor (talk) 10:23, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply
