Matthias Gerung's painting John's Vision of Heaven from the Otteinrich Bible is labeled Otteinrich Folio287r Rev 4-5 or The Revelation Chapters 4 & 5. A quick reading of The Revelation's 4th & 5th Chapter supports this. John the Apostle, aka John the Evangelist, St. John is depicted in the forefront wearing a red robe.

24 Elders? - Rev 4:4 edit
In The Revelation 4:4, it clearly states "Around the throne were 24 thrones, and on the thrones I saw 24 elders sitting clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads."
