Fair Use Rationale applicable to talk page?

I posted this image at Primary source. The appropriate fair use rationale was provided.

However, when I sought feedback about the text which used the image to make a plausibly useful point, several editors identified problems which caused me to move the text and images to the talk page.

I wonder if the rationale for posting the image of this Japanese/French text on the article page will also extend to the same image posted temporarily on the talk page where it can be encompassed within the discussion about how to make this illustrative example clearer? --Tenmei (talk) 02:25, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
