The main reason behind trail was the teachings he use to give to daughter of umer ibn ziyad which when he came to know that he was teaching righteous ISLAM according to teachings of Ahly Bait made umer ibn ziyad more frustrated and henceforth he gave Tammar ibn Yahya severe punishment.
