Hi - in my travels I came across a Mac logo specification from 1998:

- https://retrocdn.net/File:Mac_Logo_Guidelines_1998-08-26_Vertical.svg
The fourth page of the PDF has an "official" version of the Mac OS logo from this period, with more correct colours, fonts and layout. This current version being used on Wikipedia looks like it was a "vectorised" version of a raster image, and as a result, has distorted letters.
I'd replace it myself *cough* but someone more motivated might be able to find Mac OS-specific branding guidelines.
