Contested deletion

edit

This file should not be speedy deleted as an obviously non-free file but which is not claimed by the uploader to be fair use, because... I was given permission to use the photo by David Kahn's marketing director. His name is Justice Mitchell – Justice@BigBlockStudios.com ... Mr. Mitchell is making all of Mr. Kahn's photos available through a Creative Commons license as noted on this page: https://www.davidkahnkravmaga.com/media-kit#DKKM_PHOTOGRAPHY — Preceding unsigned comment added by MrWabash (talkcontribs)

@MrWabash:At the time that I reviewed this image, the above noted source page had no Creative commons license noted on it; the entire page was "© 2018 DAVID KAHN KRAV MAGA . COPYRIGHT . ALL RIGHTS RESERVED" It has now been updated to state the images are licensed as "Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License". Note that a restriction of no derivatives is not an acceptable license for use on Wikipedia. It is also different from the claimed license as uploaded which states it is CC-BY-SA 4.0.CC-BY-4.0 -- Whpq (talk) 13:12, 26 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Whpq: Understood. Thanks for pointing that out. The page https://www.davidkahnkravmaga.com/media-kit#DKKM_PHOTOGRAPHY now has an updated license reference of "Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0)," which matches the claimed license in the upload. Really appreciate your guidance on this. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MrWabash (talkcontribs)
I have verified that the source site now specifies a CC-BY-4.0 license for the images. As such, I've removed the deletion notice as it no longer applies. -- Whpq (talk) 17:42, 26 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
