Contested deletion

edit

This file should not be speedy deleted as an obviously non-free file but which is not claimed by the uploader to be fair use, because I have created it myself in MSPaint. If desired, deletion of the first version of the file is ok, since I won't be using it and you can get it off your servers. If this was a simple mistake by Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk-contribs) for not clearing his cache to see the new version before marking this file, then no harm done. If I incorrectly marked this file, then which license would fit content created by uploader where they don't care how it's used? Kanegasi C 21:43, 23 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

It's visually identical to the copyrighted screenshot that was here before. Using MS Paint to change the size or resolution doesn't change or status as nonfree, and the "simple geometric shape" rationale is clearly invalid. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 21:52, 23 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Again, clear your cache. The current file is nothing but black text on a white background, explaining that I cannot have an avatar. Also, I'll repeat, delete the first version of the file if desired. Kanegasi C 21:55, 23 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
There may be a display glitch, I've taken your word and remove the speedy. It's not my cache, though. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 22:01, 23 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
I have taken a screenshot to show you what I see, if it helps: http://i.imgur.com/OdztQRF.png. You should at least see the file sizes. The old version is 72KB and the new one is only 6KB. I don't think I can get the original image down that low at 200x200, even if I grayscale it. Kanegasi C 22:05, 23 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
