Difficulty in moving image

I have just been trying to move this image to the commons - it obviously belongs there as this is a self made diagram and contains no copyrighted material whatsoever. However, this image has been transferred before, but because somebody didn't add another license to it, it was deleted. As a result, I was bombarded with messages, blocking my upload in case I started an edit war. Now I have never transferred anything before so maybe I'm missing something but I found it impossible to do. Good luck and bear this in mind to whoever does try because this does need trasferring. P.S. Could wikipedia please make the transferral process easier for first timers? From this experience, I won't be transferring anything for a long time.
