The correct tag should be PD-old for author dead more than 70 years, but when you use that, it comes up with an author dead more than 100 years message. Piccadilly 02:52, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

This file would be a welcome addition to Commons and, as the author has been dead for over 70 years, I can't think of any reason why it could not be transferred since John Alfred Gotch died in 1942. Any objection to such a transfer? --Azurfrog (talk) 21:15, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
