I'm not going to risk an edit war over this, but the shade of green in the current version is so blatantly wrong. At first glance I thought it was another country's flag I'd never seen before that looked similar, but then I realised it's being passed off as "based on sources from [the] time period"! I own an original flag from the period -- i.e., the 1970s -- not a modern nylon copy, and it's not anything even remotely close to this shade of dark green.
I'd sure like to see these "sources from time period"!

- The second most recent version by Kaiser Torikka is the closest one of the lot. --Craig (t|c) 03:35, 31 August 2018 (UTC)
- @Lapsus Linguae:, I have been doing some research on the flags and symbols of Rhodesia recently. The shade of green used was most certainly much darker than that on the most recent version before mine by Kaiser Torikka. My green is based off of period photos and remaining copies. I will list them below. Even considering the flaws of colour photographic film from that time period, it is obviously darker.
- As you can see, across the 3 flags of Rhodesia, and especially the UDI green-white-green flag, a much darker green was quite common. I can't claim my green is perfect, but I have to stand behind it. Fry1989 eh? 18:04, 1 September 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reply, which I have only just seen. Some of those pictures don't even have flags in them though, or they're not the flag presented here. However, you did help me learn something I didn't know about Rhodesia's almost participation in the 1972 Olympics. Thanks.

- That out of the way, my original flag is folded at the moment, so I held it to the screen next to the thumbnails of the previous versions, and I have to admit that you are right; your shade is the closest. Why it looked so wrong to me I can't explain, but it really did.
