This photo is mis-identified. This is the skink Trachylepis margaritifer (mature male) rather than a flat lizard. This is evident from the smooth, overlapping scales characteristic of Scincidae rather than Cordylidae, Platysaurus are covered in granular, bead-like scales. The white spots on each anterior-lateral scale and the orange tail are characteristic of mature males of T. margaritifer (females and juveniles have totally different colouration, with electric blue tails) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.145.58.81 (talk) 07:22, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
