Conversion to PNG for RGB image portion clarity

I think that in the current JPEG format the RGB portions of the picture, specifically the red and blue, are blurry. The blue appears to be the worst. If someone were to to take the original picture, convert it to PNG, and then split the red, green, and blue parts and add them below the original.
