- absolutely. This is playschool economics, "my first chart". It's so vague is has no value whatsoever. Even if we assumed that the "European Democracies" are say, France, the UK and Germany, in what way would they be more 'totalitarian' than the US? If anything it would be the opposite. - while I dont agree that the relative positions of the "european democracies" (who would honestly suggest sweden and the uk could be placed in the same position?) and the USA would nessecarily be different, I do believe they are severely misplaced, this graph has been designed around the idea that they make up the center, when in reality, they could both be located differently, depending on POV. Placing them in the middle has the POV suggestion that there is as much room for change in every direction and that we are currently at a balance between all four extremes - something many (if not most) analysts would contest. Also, please revise the labels so that the arrows are pointing TO the dots. As is, it makes it seem as if the dots have movement vectors. --FuManchu 23:28, 9 September 2005 (UTC)

Revised chart

FWIW, the two arguable data points (US & Europe) were removed as they aren't the point of the chart anyway. Colors were modified, and the leader lines were changed so as not to appear like vectors. Saswann 16:28, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
